The Roll-Stock Packaging Machine has been setup with an automatic scaling system allowing it to form, fill, gas flush (MAP), seal, code-date and label various sized packages of (in this case) cheese curds. The machine is capable of packaging a wide range of products using clear or printed film at a rate of approximately 1,100 pounds of product per hour (48 oz per cycle).
Manufactured of 304 Stainless Steel & Food Safe plastics, designed & assembled to WDA Standards — this machine is ready for direct washdown operations.
The NEMA 4X enclosures protect the UL Certified electrical backpanels from the harsh chemicals and environmental factors of the production process. The machine’s frame is designed with openings so that all major components can easily be cleaned and inspected. The top guards are easily removable (without tools) for cleaning & change-over and incorporate safety switches that indicate the current state of each guard. Removable tethered side panels provide maintenance quick access to the underside of the machine.
Film change-over takes a few minutes with only a few adjustments, recorded on the operator interface in user-defined recipes.
The operator simply selects a different recipe on the touchscreen to quickly change between products. A recipe contains all the specific setup data for forming and sealing the product, along with the jobs number which the external equipment needs to be set to.
A collection of top of the line, primarily Allen-Bradley, components form a small network of intelligent devices; minimizing electrical and software troubleshooting by reducing the amount of wire terminations.
